Pre-Cruise - flew to San Juan on April 16th and spent 3 glorious days in Mayaguez with our friend. Absolutely loved it there.
On the 19th, we boarded Adventure. This was our 75th cruise and our 68th on Royal Caribbean. We have been on Voyager and Explorer but this was our first time on Adventure. We have cruised many times our of San Juan. By far our favorite place to cruise from. We love the Southern Caribbean. Very port intensive which is what we love. Spent all our time on our favorite beaches.
Just a brief review of all the things:
Very nice hump balcony. Mirror in the bath could be replaced, showing its age a bit, but not a big deal for us. Views were perfect. Right in the middle of the hump which is our favorite place to be.
Went spent 3 days in Mayaguez with a friend. Gorgeous there. Beaches were fantastic. Went to Rincon also to where the surfers go. Really cool there.
Not one of our favorite places but it was fine. We just went to the beach that is right off the ship that we could walk to. Water was very clear but as with many of the beaches in St Croix there were some rocks
Lots of seaweed this time. have never seen that in Barbados before. We love the Tiki Hut at Accra Beach but will did not sit there as he has done nothing to clean up all the seaweed. Went to the middle of the beach by the vendors as they have cleaned up their section of beach. Very disappointed in Greg and the Tiki Hut to not clean up their area of the beach
We always go to Reduit Beach. $25 for 2 people each way. Just a gorgeous beach. Lots of water sports if you so desire. Plenty of place to get food or drink
Went to our favorite beach which is Dickenson Bay in front of Tony's Beach bar. Hubby had the homemade soup like he always does. Water was very calm. Just a nice day.
Went to Orient Beach. By far our favorite beach. Great people watching. Got chairs/umbrellas at Orange Fever. Had a great time. Water was so gorgeous.
