The ship and its staterooms are in a great need of service. Our staterooms TV volume did not work. A cabin light blinked on and off all night the first night. Towels provided first night were threadbare. Vanity drawers in bath were stained and marred. Furniture was chipped and not repaired throughout cabin. House keeping took care of all issues within 24 hours. Food and staff were impeccable. Tours were not good. They were not controlled by cruise line and you got what you got. There was no way to change out. Our tour guide did not give us a map of the area, nor did she give us the name of the street where we got off. The restaurant name was not given to us either. The average age of the group was probably 70. And our young tour guide started us off as though we were 20. She walked us (without a stop) for 25 minutes to get to a restaurant that she did not tell us the name of. She walked so fast that we lost her and had to buy lunch on our own. We found them when we went to the Cathedral but had to pay our own way in since the group was already inside. They then took off at a fast clip and told us to wait in a certain square until they returned from the gardens. We waited for 2 1/2 hrs. When they didn't return, We tried to find the place where they left us off. Our bus was not there but two other buses from Celebrity were there. We had to sneak on one. At the next stop, that bus guide told us we had to get off the bus. We said all we wanted to do was get back to the ship. She said it was not their problem and told us to get off. She was sure our bus was coming. We got off and found our buss 1 block away. When we got on our tour guide would not look at us. The ever gracious Cruise line gave us a 30% credit for our excursion so we ended up with a $200.00 bus ride to Seville. We have cruised for30 years. Princess has been our line of choice but we have gone on Carnival, NCL, RCL and Costa. It is a shame when you move up to what you thought was the next level of service only to be disappointed. I will stick to Princes and forgo all the Luxury experience from Celebrity.
