Great itinerary for a 7 day cruise. Embarkation was efficient at Southampton and got underway early (so much for a planned sail away get together - turned into a Southampton in the distance drink). All planned ports were visited and on time. Geiranger was stunning and worth getting up early for.
Stateroom was well located, clean and quiet. Some of bedlinen had seen better days with holes in the bed cover!! Stateroom attendants were good as were table staff.
Food in main dining room was of a good standard except on their "Top Chef" night which was of a lower standard. Oceanview cafe had a good selection of items but I found that hot food was sometimes cool/cold - more checking food temperatures needed. I would not recommend partially cooked ham/bacon joint, cold black pudding, cool burger meat, cool fajita chicken nor the runny omelette (which made an appearance for breakfast on some mornings).
The weather when we visited was very wet which limited activity. Free scuttle bus from ship to centre of Bergen. Plenty to see and do in the city area and easy to get about.
Ship docks very close to the city centre and easy to get about. If you are visiting in early May check if where you want to go is open as the season starts mid May.
Ship dock in the centre of town. Wasn't expecting a lot from Stavanger and was pleasantly surprised to find a great place to visit. Took the hop on / off bus to get orientated and then just wandered around and had a great day.
