My husband & i have recently returned from a 22 night cruise from sydney to vancouver, on holland america oosterdam. the cruise was then continuing onto alaska.
We were really looking forward with great anticipation to this 22 day cruise to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.
We have done many cruises over the past number of years, and have always enjoyed it. We have continued to go on cruises as our preferred holiday, because we have thoroughly enjoyed the 'total' experience.

The cabin stewards always had our cabin maintained extremely well.

FANTASTIC tour. We were very impresses with this tour & presentation. This was only 5 weeks after the cyclone, & they had made a wonderful effort in getting the island tidied up.
Suva
We had been there before do decided to go on shore & do our own exploring. Unfortunately we were there on a Sunday, so only the big Department type shops were open.
Sydney (Australia)
Cruise ship left at 4pm. that afternoon. We arrived by plane in Sydney at 9.am BUT White Bay Terminal is not in a convenient place to get public transport back into Sydney.
Honolulu
We did a cruise last year & decided to do our own thing. Went to Waikiki and visited the Beachcomber Hotel on the beach for coffee. This Hotel seems to be a favourite with brides from Asia. Every 15 or so minutes a stretch limo. pulled up with yet another couple to be married.
