We loved Hawaii and feel that doing it on a cruise ship was the best way to see as much of the islands as possible. The Pride of America was no more than average. We were upgraded so our room was bigger than the usual which was very nice. We have sailed on several other Norwegian cruises and having an almost all American crew was a different experience. We did feel the service was definitely inferior to what we have experienced on other cruises. We did all our excursions through the ship. We had several really great ones like Volcanoes National Park. We had a couple of disappointing ones also that were not explained well in the brochure or by the desk. They were not at all as described. The one evening show we went too was wonderful. Food was average, nothing special but adequate. The big highlight for us was the last day when the ship takes you along the Napali Coast. A beautiful site and experience.

However, all in all we had a great vacation. Not a lot of time spent on the ship anyway and it worked well as a place to eat and sleep.
