Cabin: Deluxe Outside Stateroom

Our third river cruise but did not know quite what to expect because we had never been with Viking previously. Viking Ingvar was larger than expected but our cabin 207 on the main deck was small although adiquate. Our real problem with it was the constant noise of what appeared to be a generator which kept us awake. The ship was spotless and the cabin was cleaned every morning to a high standard although the cleaning staff were very inconspicuous.

The crew were very friendly and always helpful. I was unfortunate to have an accident four days in to the holiday but was attended to extremely well. The stairs between decks can be somewhat precarious.

The food was excellent and plentiful and well presented. As non drinkers we did have to ask for an alternative and think that it could have been offered. The restraunt staff were usually very attentive although we did have a few issues with the male waiters a couple of evenings when they seemed reluctant to serve us with dessert. The young waitresses were charming and attentive special mention of Inna, nothing was too much trouble and she spoke English really well. The chef was great and was always happy to speak to everyone and his cooking demonstration was informative.
