As a number of others have stated, my family of four just finished our cruise on Adventure from San Juan to St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Aruba & Curacao (6/6-13/15). Really enjoyed the whole cruise and find it incredible how many "nit pickers" there are, not only here on Cruise Critic but on other sites! RELAX people, enjoy the ship and all it gives you...stop trying to find fault and you might have a better cruise?

FYI....look at what "dwest2314" has said....frankly he/she has hit the nail on the head and I echo just about everything in that review....but I also have a few comments.

Overall, GREAT cruise...could not be happier! To my mind and that of my family, cannot find much to comment on negatively, food was terrific no matter where it was, shows were great, speed and efficiency of getting on/off the ship was very good, ALL the staff we dealt with were knowledgeable and very helpful. Only possible things, maybe you can lower the price on SOME booze, preferably beer? Six bucks for one beer, PLUS an 18 percent auto-gratuity is a bit much! If you don't have it or did away with it, BRING BACK the "bucket of beer" deal !! Also....want to give many kudos to our cabin steward's...they really did a fantastic job keeping our cabin (6516) clean and well maintained and also our two daughters cabin (6255).....and when I tell you that, most days my daughter's cabin looked like a bomb hit it but after the steward got through with it, it looked GREAT !! Also like to commend our table (488) waiter and assistant waiter....they were ALWAYS prompt, did everything we asked them to do or get and kept the evening meals full of fun and laughter...they were terrific!

Promenade Stateroom

Cabin PR

Hey....a "palace" it was not....but do you really need anything other than a bed and bathroom? The bed was superb, just firm enough but not too...had a great nights sleep and woke up every day with NO backache...any I've had two back surgeries! Don't worry about noise coming from the promenade....we were sleeping directly across from the Cafe...the 24 HOUR cafe and it never bothered us a bit...and didn't even really hear the ships band playing there either! The cabin was clean, as I said above, our cabin steward was really friendly and did a great job keeping up with us and helped me in anything I asked!

Port Reviews

San Juan

Just got to the ship from the airport, did not explore or take any excursions. But I can say that RCCL transportation from the airport to the ship was excellent, easy to do, efficient and we got there in 15 minutes! By ALL means, pay for the A/P transfer from RCCL....certainly easier then taking a cab!

Curacao

Went exploring in Curacao...had a ball checking out the town. Very pretty and clean. Friendly people and not "pushy" at all...if you want something, ASK...if not, they leave you alone! Certainly check out the "moving" bridge as you get off the ship....buy some Blue Curacao liqueur (or the "other" flavors/colors).....but buy it at the dock, its less expensive then on the tours!
