Having cruised previously with princess in the Caribbean, I was sadly disappointed on this trip. It appears they have huge problems with the dine anytime system. If you wish to eat at 5.30pm it will be fine, anytime after 7pm there is usually an hour wait standing in a queue, sometimes even longer. On the second day of our cruise, it was my friends birthday,at 9pm with still a long queue we paid 50dollars extra in the grill dining room to ensure we had a meal. People were very angry at the queuing, one person requested to speak with the captain. To be fair to Daniele the maître 'd',who rang me early the next day after lodging a complaint,he allowed us to change to the set time dining in another restaurant. His explanation that the British liked to eat late, did not wash, before he explained that head office were aware of the problem. It is very unfair on the hardworking staff,to be receiving the flak ,instead of those sat in their ivory towers. I found the drinks on board very expensive especially after adding gratuities on every drink, and the policy of allowing guests to take one bottle of wine on board scheming, when they know they have a captive audience. Princess cruises are trying to take their customers for every penny once they are on board. From the excursions to other customer based services. Because we were on the 2nd meal sitting,it was difficult to get a seat in the theatre, often left standing to watch a show. When at sea the sun beds were reserved from 7am,often with no one using them until after lunch. I understand a lot of people have mobility problems, but the exceptional numbers of people with scooters ,wheelchairs etc.was quite unbelievable. Some did not seem to have a problem rushing into dinner quite ably when that time arrived after mowing down a few passengers in the rush!

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin was good, but kept banging head on unit housing the fridge ,which had a high shelf with t.v. Better use could be made of this space I.e. Having larger table for cabin meals and putting fridge under dressing area! Overall good standard of balcony cabin
