Just disembarked Caribbean Princess Yesterday in Southampton (June 12TH). Will write a review over the next few days in the separate review section, just posting these comments on all of the previous poor reviews as to the general condition of the ship.

Found the ship to be in good condition overall and is definitely not a "dirty girl "as posted recently. We found her to be very clean, but worn in places. Our cabin C614 was fine, there was a new mattress - Carpet was clean and looked relatively new. Curtains were in good order and noted no stains etc. as previously reported. Towels and bedding were all fine none of the previously reported problems. Bathroom was in good order, no signs of mould and the shower curtain though not new was clean.

Whilst we noted no signs of mouldy odour there was definite smell of sewage on occasions in various areas of the ship which came and went at different times. On boarding in Southampton there was definite pong in the alleyways on Caribe deck, once inside our cabin there was no smell. Odour was noted in various areas when transiting the ship from time to time throughout the cruise.

Port Reviews

Marseille

Found the Notre Dame trip very busy and crowded. There were four other ships in port with us at the same time and Access at top to the Cathedral was chaos. Port is too far away from town. Much preferred the previous schedules which included Cannes / Monte Carlo but as these are tender ports - Marseilles is likely easier for the ships

Gibraltar

Gibraltar always a great favourite for a wander around and don't forget the shopping.

Barcelona

Really enjoyed Barcelona - We have been there before and still find so much to do and see. Last Cruise we went to the zoo and to the beach as we grand kids onboard. This cruise did our thing via private taxi - visiting all of the Gaudi sights- Olympic stadium etc and rounded of the day with a stroll down Las Ramblas
