We traveled with Crystal last year and really satisfied. We spent fairly comparable fare (even though it's not possible to exactly compare) for SS Regent and expected the same.

Impression during embarkation was very poor. We only saw one or two crews in the long hallway leading to the ship and didn't feel very welcome. After that we were sent to pool side buffet while waiting for the room and the food was like hospital cafeteria.

Hallway to the room was filled with gasoline odor which lasted for two three days.

Cabin made so much squeaky noise and we were moved to different room.

Housekeeping service was excellent.
