DH and I just off the June 27 Southern Caribbean cruise on Adventure of the Seas. We only get to cruise every few years and this one was a Christmas surprise to me, very special time for us to spend together. We are in the approaching retirement phase in life and work keeps us very busy and away from each other at times. He had added to the treat by booking JS 9628 - nice private balcony (though some do not like having solid walls on both sides I liked the privacy). Also, the walk in closet was something to behold - all our belongings stored on the shelves so we did not even need any of the generous amount of storage in the cabin. The location was very handy as the stairs were just around the corner for easy access up or down. Sebastian was our cabin attendant and was gracious and helpful.

Due to work commitments we had to travel in Saturday which had me anxious but worked out fine. I had been given an upgrade to first class on the flight out of Atlanta so I was rested and ready to vacation when our wheels hit the ground in San Juan. We landed at 3:00 pm and were in our stateroom by 4. We had packed in carry on only so it was simple to catch our cab to the ship. It was a very efficient system of filling out the cab info and then being taken right to a taxi. Cost was $23 to the ship. With no luggage to drop we walked into the Diamond line and were quickly through the documentation process, a quick walk onto the ship and we were in our lovely stateroom.

It was our first cruise as a Diamond member so we felt very lucky to have access to the Diamond Lounge on Deck 14 behind the Blue Moon lounge. Suicel is the conceierge and was lovely to talk with. We did not request any special arrangements so I cannot comment on that. There was a great coffee machine there and I made use of it frequently.
