This was our 20th Princess cruise (5 in last 2 years) and 80th overall.
We went back to cruising with Princess two years ago and have found that excellent food, customer service and awareness of detail by the staff that made us a loyal Princess cruiser 15 years ago. And after this cruise, the Regal Princess back in February 2015 and the Caribbean Princess twice last year, strongly feel that Princess is back in good form.
This cruise was a last minute cruise, going to places we have traveled before, but liked the tour options. Princess did a great job with the tours and we enjoyed 5 tours plus the boat shuttles in both Venice (the day we arrived) and in Toulon. These shuttles were nice ways to get into the town centers to explore on your own.
Nice cabin with excellent bed covering that eliminated separating when two beds put together. But small bath and shampoo dispenser got in way while showering. Cabin had the double balcony but chairs did not have foot rests. But cabin nicely decorated and comfortable with refrigerator and bar glasses. We prebought vodka and set ups from Princess and though costly in terms of prices at home, drinks cost about $2 per drink versus $5.75 or more for drinks bought in the Princess bars or venues. And what better place to enjoy drinks than from a large balcony cruising in a warm, romantic and dry Mediterranean Sea.
