Check-in was chaotic and staff appeared ill prepared to handle the crowds. Sending people to wrong lines. Once on board, we attempted to buy the soft drink package and was told they could not activate our cards until we went to the guest services desk. After standing in line for 10 minutes, the staff person at guest services said they could not activate the card and sent us back to the person doing beverage package sign up. Back in that line, the staff person "miraculously" was able to see that the card was indeed activated. The room was very clean and spacious, lots of closet and storage space.
Down sides: the food on the Lido Buffet was marginal in terms of variety of selections and visual appeal. Except for Guy's Hamburgers, the food on Lido should be avoided. Service in the dining room was excellent. Especially enjoyed Tea Time on the at sea day. The ship interior design was not as glamorous as other ships I have experienced. The production shows were excellent- great set design, costumes, and great dancers. The lead singers were top notch. A musical group called Summer Breeze that performed in the atrium lobby was phenomenal. The female singer, Richel, had a vocal range like Whitney Houston. Many opportunities to have professional photographs taken but the cost was excessive. Loved the Serenity deck, a wonderful retreat for adults only. Would have loved more activities at night after the late theater show. The night life on board seemed listless and lacked energy and vibrancy. The cruise director was lackluster at best, not a high energy person.
A good experience overall, but it was less than Royal.
Spacious, plenty of storage and closet space. Excellent cabin steward. Lito was wonderful.
