We booked with Uniworld in a suite, category 1, room 403. The food was excellent, butler extremely efficient. The staff was just working.
I'm not sure why they started this cruise knowing the river was low in certain sections and may not be able to complete the full trip due to low water levels.and that was the problem in a nutshell. Disregarding the desires of their clients. Guess they were hoping it rained. I think all the clients should have been informed of the situation and given a choice to re-book. I hated being bused the last 4 days, the climbing in and out , the discomfort. The packing and unpacking the change of itineries and missing the hearing enhancers.we were exhausted by the end of the trip.
Actually 2 couples on the ship were called and told this before disembarking so the cruise line KNEW of the possibility. And as long as a possibility existed we as luxury paid clients should have been given that information.
Use of the small spac in a suite was good except for the unusable couch which tilted forward so you slid off the seat. Plenty of shelves and hanging room. The small couch in the suite was the most uncomfortable ever.i think it was a pullout sofa. The suite had 3 tv's. And a small enclosed porch. Full bar and coffee. None of which transferred to the hotels they put us up in.
