This was our first cruise with the Viking Lines. The ship sailed from Amsterdam in the Netherlands to Basel Switzerland. We were greeted at the airport in Amsterdam by Viking employees and driven to our ship the 'Viking Kara'. Upon boarding the ship we were again greeted by the ship's crew and shown to our room. Everyone was courteous and friendly. Our room was very nice and very clean. Each day there was an exciting shore excursion where the guides were very courteous and well informed. All guides spoke English and were easy to understand.

Dining was great where you could sit with a different group each day and discuss the sights seen that day and learn more about your fellow passengers.
