We were lucky enough to have a suite G733 so embarkation was swift, the suite ready on boarding and a nice luncheon with drinks in Sinhu. Luggage took a while to get to cabin. The suite was an aft wrap with loads of space and a superb balcony. Breakfast in the Epicurean is a nice touch for suite passengers. The crossing of the Bay of Biscay was rough and Britannia seems to roll a lot more than other ships we have been on.

Food in the restaurant was very good and hot and we never wanted longer than 10 minutes for a table on Freedom dining. We ate in Sinhu twice in the evening and once at lunch which is poorly advertised as always excellent food and service. Epicurean and Glass House were also excellent. We never ate in the buffet, Horizon, but passed through and it looked good with a large selection. We tried the Limelight Club and the food and service was very good not too impressed with the artist though Jackie Graham excellent singer but her patter was a little annoying. Entertainment ranged from excellent to poor to non-existent. We thought the Atrium, which is stunning, lacked atmosphere and would have benefited from a singer or pianist.

We booked a Masterclass with James Martin the Cookery Club which was really excellent and also we got tickets for Dinner with James. This was an awesome event and well worth the money. We really enjoyed the cruise but prefer Ventura/Azura. Cannot put a finger of what we did not like but it seems a bit souless and seemed very quiet late in the evening. Disembarkation was chaos.

Cabin Review

Cabin Suite

Excellent cabin with massive balcony. Lounge is operated from bedroom by corridor with loads of wardrobe space and has one of the two entrances to bathroom which has a walk in shower (friend who visited said our shower was bigger then their cabin!) and whirlpool bath.
