This was our first cruise of any description, so we decided on a week. We joined the ship at Budapest but because of low water in the Danube we had to move upstream, so didn't get to see anything a Budapest apart from an evening cruise downstream before turning round - although we did see what had inspired us - the Parliament Building - we were moored directly opposite. We stopped for two days in Vienna and explored there, but then we only got as far upstream as Passau, again because of low water levels.

The ship, captain and crew could not be faulted. Our cabin was perfectly adequate, kept clean by our cabin steward, and morning tea served by our butler - luxury! A large walk=in shower with plenty of hot water. The amenities on board were plentiful, a good sized lounge/bar area which, I would think, could seat all the passengers at one go. The food was very good, always a nice selection on the buffet, or you could choose from the a la carte if there wasn't anything you fancied - which we did a couple of times.

The passengers were mainly Canadian, Australian, American and a few English people, all very nice and pleasant. A variety of entertain was enjoyed in the lounge in the evenings - local dancers, etc.
