Our first River Cruise and we did not know what to expect. It was great. We enjoyed the city tours and touring some of the Castles. Majority of the tour guides did a great job. We decided to go on three extra excursions which was just the right amount for us. We had so much fun on the "pub tour" with our young guide. Enjoyed touring the country side, the towns, learning about the history and seeing all the architecture...no complaints.

The staff on the Viking Kara were wonderful...all of them!!!! Again, no complaints. The staff worked very hard to make sure we were well taken care of. They were all very accommodating. Our cabin was very clean and the ship was immaculate. If the Kara staff is a replica of all staff on the other Viking Ships, Wow! You can not go wrong!

We especially enjoyed the more casual atmosphere. My husband brought a sports coat, but should have left it home. The joke among our group was whether he actually brought one.

Cabin Review

Veranda Superior

Cabin A

Loved our cabin. Veranda (A) Stateroom. The only problem we had was the TV for a few days, but we weren't in the room hardly at all so it really was not a problem.

Port Reviews

Heidelberg

Walking tour through the Castle and then a short bus ride to the center of Heidelberg. Learned some of the history of Heidelberg.

Cologne

Visited the Cologne Cathedral and old town. This included a walking tour. A big festival had just ended and the city needed quite a bit of cleaning up. But still enjoyed the tour. Tour guide fantastic
