We travel with a group of eight, both family, and friends. It was our third time on Riviera, and we requested our butler, Sonu, from the prior cruises. He met us as we boarded, and asked what we would be needing that first day. Great service from the very start. The ship was pretty full, with groups from Maui Jims, and four university affiliated tour groups. The cruise was shorter than our usual selection, but was destination intensive, a different port or island each day, and ending in Athens. We bought the premium liquor package, as it is a value if you are even a modest consumer of wine, and spirits. Entertainment has been vastly improved by adding the entrainment troupes from their new Norweigen cruise line partner, and we always spent time in our favorite venue, Martini's, listening to the excellent piano player.
The food, service, and selection of ports was excellent, and we dined with the Captain one night, and found him to be a delightful dinner companion. We had so much fun, that we booked two more cruises while on board.
The cabin is directly across from the deck 11 Concierge lounge entrance, and close to elevators and stairs. It is an excellent midship location. Cabin steward, and butler we excellent, as were all cabin services, and amenities.
We entered just after services. It was crowded, and so we didn't really get to see much of it. A must see regardless.
We were in Istanbul during the last three days of the Hajj. Everything was extremely crowded. The trip, while checking the box, was just OK.
Extensive reconstitution going on, certain part were off limits. A must see regardless.
Skip the long line for the to see the jeweled dagger, and go on the Harem tour.
Best time to visit is early as it gets warm, and extremely humid.
Pleasant trip up into the mountains. Visit is short one, but we liked it.
We took an all day taxi tour of the Island including the old town, and site of the Colossus. A nice way to se things.
Nice two hour walk thru town. That is about all there is to see.
