This was my second river cruise. The worst thing about this cruise had nothing to do with the ship, but it was the unusually hot weather in Budapest; however, by the time we got to Passau the weather was beautiful. At one point on our stop in Vienna, one of my other group members and I went back into the city to shop (after the planned excursion) and as we were on our way back to the ship, three of our regular dining crew members spotted us and safely escorted us the rest of the way back to the ship.
I really liked the itinerary on this cruise better than the Rhine River, however I believe some of the scenery was more beautiful on the Rhine. I especially liked the small town of Deurnstein, Salzburg (my personal favorite), and Passau. We had some really good guides in every port, and ended up adding Munich to the end of our trip. I felt like all of the staff, especially our dining crew, were extremely helpful and nice. If I could ask for the same crew again, I would. They made our trip so much more enjoyable! The ship was nice, our room was perfect - I can't think of anything that could have been better.
Clean, organized, good use of space. Would like the bathroom to be a bit larger.
The weather was really not in Budapest; however the places we visited were very informative and the shopping we did was great.
Our guide was really great; the Abbey was beautiful - so many historical artifacts.
Salzburg was one of my favorite stops. Shopping was superb; sights were awesome and I heard the bells ring in the square - it was my favorite stop on the cruise.
The 17,974 pipe, 233 register organ in this church was incredible. It's the most ornate church I've ever seen. Incredible.
Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable; some steep streets to climb, but so worth it. Shopping was very good. Beautiful city.
Lots of shopping available, awesome sights, concert one night, good subway system that is easy to navigate.
Good shopping, a pretty city.
