Sail Date: Oct 2015
Cabin: Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony

We sailed twice on Celebrity Reflection from Rome to Miami so we were ready to explore a new ship. This was our first Oasis class, and we were not disappointed with the ship as a destination on our Westbound Transatlantic from Barcelona on October 25th with many days at sea.

With only one port en route (Malaga), we decided to spend 7 nights in Barcelona pre-cruise and enjoyed our stay at the Four Points Sheraton on Diagonal. We shared a taxi from our hotel on Sunday at 11:00 am, checked in after a stop at the duty-free to purchase 2 bottles of wine, and by noon we were at the Windjammer where the second section had just opened up. No crowds at all. Cabins were ready at 1:00pm.

I selected our cabin with care. We usually get an Oceanview Balcony, but selected 8727, Boardwalk Balcony to give us an experience not found on other ships. The bed was by the door, and we had a great view of the water, the Aqua Theatre and movie screens. Our door did not lock properly, so our efficient cabin attendant Ary called a technician who adjusted the door mechanism perfectly and all outside noise was eliminated when the balcony door was shut. We had sun in our balcony from sunrise to about 3:30pm.
