Cabin: Celebrity Suite
This was exactly our 3rd cruise on the Constellation. We are a couple in our 50s who have cruised Princess, Carnival, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and more recently Celebrity. This was our first time in a Celebrity Suite, which we were able to afford from having our suite guarantee upgraded. So while this was our 3rd time on Connie, it was a completely different experience being in a suite. Prior two cruises were in Aqua (with daily bottled water).
Departure from Ft Lauderdale was a breeze. We arrived around 10:45. Since my wife was in a wheelchair recovering from foot surgery, I was able to park in the handicapped slot in Terminal 4, which was literally 20 yards from the entrance. A very nice Celebrity employee wheeled her to check-in and we were checked in quickly. Erick, the Michael's Club concierge, took us from there to Michael's club to wait until our room was ready. No sitting or waiting to board. Definitely different than our non-suite experiences.
Departure lunch was in Luminae. I had the Signature burger, which was out of this world delicious. More on Luminae later.

This was a very spacious room with a separate bedroom/bathroom. There were two flat screen TVs, neither of which was used very much. This has a double wide balcony (same depth as regular balconies) with 3 chairs, two footstools, and a table. We were a bit disappointed there were no loungers, but as it turned out, the weather never let us stay out on the balcony but for a few minutes on one day. There is a dining table in the room. The separate bedroom has a king-sized bed and a large walk-in closet with a vanity. The bathroom has a double vanity and jetted, raised tub. There is a hand held shower, but because the tub is raised, anyone over 6' is going to have to duck to wash their hair. This was the worst part of the cabin. The best part was just the overall space and the floor to ceiling windows the entire length of the balcony. The balcony sticks out farther than any other room on the ship, so it's a bit strange when you can see everyone else's balcony.
Port Reviews
Key West
Key West used to be a unique and eclectic place to visit. Now it's filled with junk t-shirt and tourist trap souvenir places. It's become like most Caribbean Islands now. There are some unique architectural sights to see once you get away from the Mallory Square mess.
Nassau
Never got off the ship. We've been to Nassau so many times, but it is just not worth getting off of the ship to see. I know this is a convenient port for cruise ships, but cruise lines really need to reconsider the value of going to this dangerous port.
