Princess cruises provide the best quality of service we have experienced thus far (P&O Aust, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, HAL, Princess)

Food variety was good, however quality was inconsistent. The much lauded Curtis Stone menu items were extremely lack luster and quality was hit and miss. Having sent all 3 of his menu items back, both the head waiter and assistant maitre'd became nightly visitors to our table.(though this was probably a response to being a suite guest).

The cruise was the 2nd leg of a 26 night Fremantle return cruise and 1400 of the guests were completing this itinerary. The Maxim of cruising was certainly true, 'the longer the cruise, the older the passengers'. One end of the ship resembled a very nice retirement village was the other end was more akin to the critical care ward.
