We booked this cruise in early December just to do something different on New Year's Eve. We had not sailed on Celebrity in several years, nor the Constellation before, but we thoroughly enjoyed the ship and crew. Embarkation at Port Everglades was very easy. We arrived at the port early the morning of departure so we were able to park in parking lot right next to luggage drop off. We brought a case of water to the ship and were able to get it checked in with our luggage and it was delivery to our cabin with the luggage. This was different from an earlier cruise out of Baltimore where we had to carry the water thought security and to the ship ourselves. I guess different ports have different procedures.

New Year's Eve was exciting, and there were parties in virtually every lounge on ship. The main one was on the top deck with a pool party that kicked off at 10:30 and featured the live show cast performing right up to midnight. Food on the ship was outstanding at every venue we tried. Entertainment and performances in the main theater were top notch. There was a late show the third night called Elyria that boggled the mind. It was limited to adults 18 and over due to the what was billed as naughty content. The content was inappropriate for children, but we watch more risqué content on Saturday Night Live. The performance featured the live singing and dancing cast and also two acrobats performing high above the stage without safety harness or constraints.

We had an interior room which was adequate in size and had lots of compartments to store our belongings. The bed was high enough to store our empty suitcases under it, which was not the case on Royal Caribbean's Grandeur last October. One of my favorite things about the room was the automatic night light in the bath room that gave just enough glow around the door to find it in the middle of the night without turning on the bathroom light and flooding the room with light. We did not take any excursions since we had been to both locations, Nassau and Key West several times.

Inside Stateroom 10

Cabin 10

Nice size with ample storage compartments in the room and bath room. Shower was the best I've had on any cruise ship before. Nice size, good water pressure. Small fridge occasionally made a loud humming noise for about a minute that was annoying especially if it happened at night.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Luggage attendant checked our case of water with our luggage and directed us to the close in parking lot. Check in was fast and efficient. We were on board within 15 minutes of parking the car.

Nassau

Easy on and off the ship. We walked around town and shopped. Highlight was the Pirate's Museum. Very nice displays of pirate life including a half scale replica of a pirate ship along side a representative 18th century Caribbean street.

Key West

The ship docked in the Navy Yard which meant we had to be shuttled into town and back from town. This was different from our previous trip where we docked right next to Duvall Street. We had been to Key West before and took the Conch Train (again) on our own to get our bearings and hear more of the local history. They offer a military discount. The tour included tickets to the Hemingway house. Went to Hemingway's house for the first time--great tour and commentary from the guide.
