This was our 3rd family cruise. First two were on the Disney cruise line - so Disney will be my basis of comparison. Our traveling party included my wife and I, our 17 year old daughter, our 25 year old son and his friend. We had two staterooms on the 7th deck. The expectation for a cruise is that everything is perfect - so I wont elaborate on all of the good things....only those that were negative, different from Disney, or should be considered by others. I have broken it down by section for easy reading.

Embarkation (Baltimore). Of note here was the flow and drop off of bags. The port is easily accessible, right off I-95. Once on the port, you are guided into multiple lanes where your bags are dropped off - right from the vehicle - without having to unload them and drag them to the terminal building. Definitely an attaboy for the Maryland Port Authority. NEGATIVE - we had to fill out a health form that could have been / should have been available online so that we could have done it ahead of time.

Staterooms. NEGATIVE. Half the time, the toilet would not flush and we had to repeatedly activate it to get it to flush. There was NO PRIVACY CURTAIN. On the Disney ships, there was a privacy curtain that spanned the room between the master bed and the convertible couch/bed. The lack of such a curtain made it awkward for changing clothes. I have sleep apnea which requires me to use a breathing machine at night. There was no AC outlet anywhere near the bed. I had to obtain an extension cord from the stateroom attendant. The mattresses on the master bed (actually two beds pushed together) were EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE and lumpy. No exhaust fans in the bathroom meant it was constantly fogged up during showers. Locking mechanism on closet door did not work so door kept bouncing open with the waves. The sliding glass door to the was very difficult to open. There was no AC outlet in the bathroom which meant my wife and daughter had to use their blow dryers and curling irons in the room (could not watch TV at same time). Our stateroom only had 3 towel animals for the entire 10 night cruise - and those that we did get were not very good. POSITIVE. The shower water pressure was very good and there was ample hot water. There was more closet space than on a Disney ship (you give up two bathrooms that the Disney ship gives you to get the extra closet space). The thermostat in the stateroom actually worked.

Guides made it extremely fun. Take your own camera and the guides will take lots of pictures.

2 tank dive. One was on the wall and the other was on a shipwreck. Guides were great.
