Our only complaint is that drink prices have risen about 15% since our previous cruise during April 1914. The Constellation is the third Millenium-class ship we've cruised; it was more than satisfactory. Excellent quality of food and service in the main dining room, as well as very good housekeeping. Embarkation was fine, though we waited a bit longer than expected for disembarkation.

Cabin 6051 (with balcony) was fine, even if the weather kept us from using the balcony much. Shows were good, as well, with a few performers clearly in the professional stage show class. Food in the cafeteria (breakfast) had good variety and ample quantity, as usual -- although the danish didn't seem as fresh as they had on other Celebrity cruises.

Burgers at the pool area (100% beef) were better than anything we get on land. We generally were quite satisfied and are looking forward to our next Celebrity cruise. Even though it's a six-hour drive to the nearest Celebrity departure port and we could instead board a Carnival ship locally, to us the Celebrity difference is worth the inconvenience.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2B

Cabin 2B

The cabin was fine -- smaller by a bit than some others we've had on Celebrity, but well appointed (including a hair dryer hidden in the dressing built-in that we didn't notice was there until we were packing to leave). Having a balcony was nice, but weather prevented its use much of the time. (Consider this if you are considering paying extra for a balcony vs. oceanview.) Beds were configured as requested and for the cost of a modest tip housekeeping delivered towel animals on several occasions -- which pleased my wife.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Vendors in the shopping area adjacent to the port were aggressive and their wares were largely not local, but characteristic of tourist gift shops anywhere.

Key West

A good assortment of restaurants and pubs as part of an entertainment district that is many blocks long (Duvall Street). A great, local conch bar (Bo's) near the eastern end of Greene Street, which leads directly from the cruise dock (about seven blocks, past Sloppy Joe's) -- to be precise, at William & Caroline. And, world class margaritas at Margaritaville. We took this cruise specifically because it docked in Key West (which we've visited otherwise several times), which is a lot of fun if you don't mind walking a bit.
