Viking always does a great job. This was our 7th river cruise with Viking and we've done one big ship, the Viking Star (8 in total with Viking). This cruise started in Budapest and went to Bucharest. I made our own flight arrangements so we could fly out of Harrisburg. Driving 2 1/2 hours to Philladelphia is not something we want to do n then u have that LONG ride home when u get back after a long airplane ride.

Weather does have a great impact on your experience. There was a drought so the water level was too low at the end of the cruising and the last day we had to be bussed. The good thing was we could use the bathroom on the bus and u got to see more of the countryside.

U spent 2 days in Budapest before embarking onto the ship. I would have rather gotten on the ship from the very first day the way we did in 2011 for the Grand European cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam. Which is BTW the BEST cruise u can go on and after going on 7 of them I think we r pretty fair judges ;-).
