This was my 5th cruise with P & O and I had been made unsure by so many negative comments on cruise critic.... not so for me and my travel buddies.

the departure was delayed due to bad weather on the previous cruise... P & O could not have been better. notified us as soon as possible and kept our travel arrangements the same but gave us complimentary transfers to Darling Harbour to while away the time until boarding.

Room was smaller than anticipated but clean and comfortable.. we had three sharing a balcony on level 9. Yes the room was a little tired and certainly not refurbished but it was all we needed for our cruise... Room staff were very friendly and obliging... couldn't ask for more.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

Room was clean and comfortable.. beds were great to sleep in although a little narrow but i am used to a queen bed to myself..so hard to judge that one...

bathroom needs upgrading but everything worked and the one problem we had with the toilet was answered and fixed immediately..

Room staff are overworked but kept room tidy and even found time to make the little animals for us and those chocolates...

Port Reviews

Eden (Australia)

not much scenic.. spent 40minutes in a two horse town and only 30 mins in Merimbula... hostess kept pointing out the local schools etc and not the landmarks... driver took over for 5 minutes and gave us the best commentary of the trip

Mornington Peninsula

this tour was called the Gems of Mornington and it consisted of a steam train ride which took 15 minutes and then straight to a winery where we sat for 45 minutes.. thought it might be wine tasting but you got one glass of wine and that was a tasting size and then sit around or walk through gardens and vines for the rest of the time

$90 and a waste of money

Portland (Australia)

Again $90 and we went to Cape Nelson Lighthouse and then back to the Cable Tram museum for a ride around town... probably the best of the three so far but not really panoramic except for the view from the lighthouse..lot of time sitting around waiting for the drivers and tour guides on these trips.

Kangaroo Island

Had a local driver for this one who gave us a great tour.. learnt lots but only saw a few of the towns, Kingscote and Penneshaw Bay and in between.... and another lighthouse... Kangaroo Island is well named though as we saw lots of kangaroos and sheep...
