We took the "Cities of Light" river cruise on the Idun from Prague to Paris with an extension in Paris. We enjoyed every minute of our cruise. Bussed from Prague to Nurnberg and caught the ship at Bamberg. Went to many small towns in Germany which were outstanding. Tours were amazing, local tour guides were consistently exceptional. Very knowledgeable and personable and easy to understand.

Food was excellent and the rooms were very well appointed (not huge but large enough). No room service but coffee, juice, and light snacks available at all times in a common area. No fitness center on board but typically we were getting enough exercise from all the walking tours.

Stayed at a Hilton in Prague and the Pullman Eiffel Tower in Paris. I HIGHLY recommend getting the extension in Paris. Barely enough time to see the minimum "must-sees" even with the extension. Viking provides a three hour bus tour the first morning in Paris - don't miss it! Excellent way to see a lot of Paris in a short time and gives you ideas for what to go back to see with your free time.

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

Our cabin looked exactly as shown in the Viking video. Very lovely furnishings, extremely comfortable bed, extremely comfortable pillows. No problems sleeping, we had very full, very busy days! Our cabin steward was amazing. She anticipated our every need.
