Weather was a little rainy and cool, but it didn't stop us from taking advantage of every tour/excursion available. This was our first trip along the Danube and the towns and scenery were wonderful. This is a great way to see a part of Europe.
The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Viking's guides in every location were interesting and friendly. I like their audio system so you can keep in touch with the guide but stop to look at something that catches your attention. Their tour "lollipops" make it easy to keep track of your guide.
As mentioned in other reviews, the water levels were low and we did have to change ships. This was no problem and Viking handled everything. At least they have the ships available to make this type of transfer! We don't feel like a missed a thing. (It's was funny to us because 2 years ago we experienced a problem with water levels too high and we were unable to be on board through the locks! We were on buses between ports, but saw much more than we would have on ship and extra excursions also.) No one can control the weather!
CLEAN. Enough room and storage for length of cruise - you don't spend much time in your cabin! Love that luggage could be stored under bed.
Enjoyed cruising to Nuremberg. WWII sites sobering. Walking tour around castle also interesting, great guide!
Organ concert awesome.
What beautiful scenery! Abbey spectacular.
Always enjoy taking walking tours of cities.
Viking provides excellent walking/coach tours in ports; informative with knowledgeable guides.
Beautiful!
Beautiful cruise of the narrows and Weltenberg Abbey. Also enjoyed Kelheim tour.
