Checkin Mayhem on MSC
The staff on the port were useless.
So many peiople on board that everything required endless lines and wasted
The entertainment was well organised and good

The cruise problems started with the checkin where 2500 people were held in the check in area for up to 3 hours with the staff being totally incapable. They had signs that said "information" as you walked into the hall which most people bypassed as the sign on the escalators said check in with an arrow! I have photos but nowhere to post them.

The only toilet in the checkin area was overflowing with feeces and there was urine all over the floor where both women and men were unable to use the toilets and urinated on the floor. The ship itself is fabulous, but the staff are lazy and disinterested, the meals were awful in the dining room with terrible service and cold meals by the time they were served, the buffet was super crowded with 4500 passengers on board and only 1200 staff "with the meals prepared like a soup kitchen for the homeless".

MSC apparently give cabins for very cheap prices before cruising. People on our dinner table paid 1/3 the price of our cabin, but booked exactly the same time as us.The only difference was that we had previously deposited for the cruise. Overall the ports of call were great, the entertainment was good and the service and food were attrocious. Wouldn't travel with MSC again unless they pick up their game.
