I have never been on a cruise ship before, so have nothing to compare this to. I was there for one thing; to see Antarctica. I had no other expectations, as this is an adventure cruise.

We had an absolute blast on this cruise. Antarctica was worth every penny. We haven't seen wildlife/scenery like that ever in our life before, and don't think we ever will again.

We opted for the 11 day Antarctic Explorer cruise with Quark Expeditions aboard the Ocean Endeavour. First off, everything from Buenos Aires including the hotel and chartered flights were great. We had absolutely no problems at all and Quark were very well organised in getting us into and out of Buenos Aires.

Cabin Review

Cabin Superior Twin

The room was well equipped and decorated, we wanted for absolutely nothing. The shower had great water pressure, and lots of hot water. The cosmetics they provided were superb. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space to hang your things after a long day out on the peninsular.

Our room (5013) had a window that opened, which was amazing for taking photos and setting up the go-pro for a time lapse or just being able to stick our head out for some fresh air. The TV had around 10 channels, with all kinds of movies and documentaries to keep you entertained throughout those long days on the drake passage. It was a new LCD tv, so you could have hooked up a computer or USB easily as well. We had a fridge in our room so were able to take some of our own drinks on board and keep them cool. We didn't have any problems with temperature control in the room but heard that other people did. Although, these people also said that once they told management about their issue, it was sorted pretty quickly.
