The port in Baltimore had organized embarkation and debarkation. I was not prepared for the VERY long uphill walk to the ship. Using a cane, it was difficult. The up-selling began before the long walk to the ship and continued throughout the cruise. That was a huge turn off.
We came out on the 4th floor about 11 AM and had lunch later at the Park Cafe near the Solarium on deck 9. Our suite was ready around 1 or 1:30. Our luggage arrived shortly thereafter. Lots of elevators were being used by the crew for luggage so it was hard to find one to get to deck 8 with carry on case and a cane.
We had suite 8014, which was spacious and lovely with a big balcony that had table, chairs and 2 padded chaise lounges. Our cabin attendant was Dennis P and he was extremely attentive for the duration.
Our cabin was very big with more storage than we needed. Lots of mirrors. The lighting was great. The bathroom huge with a double sink and lots of storage. Tub/ shower had soap dispenser which we did not use. Lots of t-paper and tissues provided. I asked for and got 4-6 towels a day. Suite had a coffee maker with Starbucks, a tea pot, refrigerator stocked with snacks and sodas and water, DVD player and hair dryer as well as a safe. The lighted vanity had a big magnifier mirror. The bed was very comfortable and we could control our own heat/cool for the suite. We had a sofa, 2 chairs, ottoman and a big coffee table. One entire wall was window. You can't go wrong with Dennis the attendant! Really friendly and effecient.
