This was our first cruise and we were really looking forward to it. So lets start with day 1.

Everything went pretty smooth getting on the boat, except for one rude lady that gave us our boarding pass telling my wife that she looked old. I don't know what the point of that was except just being rude. We get to our suite only to find out that it looks nothing like the photos online. Not just a different layout, just completely different everywhere. You are able to go on Carnival's website and see a 360 degree photo of your stateroom, but this one was obviously from a different boat. Different desk, an additional wall, no end tables beside the beds couches and chairs different, smaller desk area, tiny tv, not the wall mounted larger flatscreen pictured, stained carpets, two twin beds pushed together and different heights. Just a total misrepresentation. Kind of disappointing when you purchase the nicest suite on the whole boat. So I walk out to the balcony to check it out only to get sprayed by a yellow hose going full blast handing from a rope from a higher deck. Yes, now I'm soaked and our luggage hasn't arrived yet to even change into something dry. Thanks Carnival! I'm not too tall (5'10") but I wasn't able to wash my hair in the shower without having to crouch down. And if you are over 6" I don't think you would even be able to stand up straight without hitting your head on the ceiling.

So later we try to get into a better mood and go to the dining hall later only to get served cold food. Must just be a fluke since they serve hundreds of meals here for dinner a night. Spoiler: food was cold every night! Read more
