This was our first cruise to celebrate both my wife's birthday and our anniversary. First, we spent some time reading the reviews of this ship and offerings and feel that the reviews are obviously sided to the perception of the reviewers. Those with bad experiences seem to have some sort of specific expectation that hasn't been met and they carried that displeasure to other aspects of the cruise.

For us, it was exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a better first time experience.

Embarkation was an absolute breeze. We were through security and check in and on the pool deck within about 30 minutes.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Cabin N

The cabin is small, but for 2 people it does the job. We didn't spend much time in the cabin so size wasn't a problem. Looking back, I wish we had a balcony cabin and will upgrade for that next time.

The second night of the tour there was a big party in the main area of the ship. It was loud and we could hear it in the cabin even after midnight, but honestly it wasn't an issue for us. We realize that people come on these cruises for fun and they were certainly having a great time. Again, if your expectation is that you will have absolutely silence on the trip then your perception is a little off.

The only criticism, and this is really picking nits... the light for the bathroom is in a awkward spot behind the outside bathroom door. Really that is all I can tell you that was negative about this cabin. We were on the 8th deck and below the pool deck. Again there was some ambient noise issues from the pool deck but nothing terrible. Our cabin was centrally located and allowed for easy access to all areas of the ship which was helpful with my knee issues.
