We did Disney for Adults to celebrate mom's 85th birthday. She had been on 20+ cruises but never Disney and loves the parks. We blew her away booking a concierge 1 bed room suite. At special check in the Disney team escorted her on board and we went to the champagne reception in the concierge lounge where our personal team went over our plans on the trip. Then on to the room. Mom was grinning ear to ear. She had the bedroom side of suite with its own temperature control and we had the living room side. Besides two separate TVs we had two full baths and her's besides the shower had a garden tub with jets and a large vanity and walk in closet. The was a single bed murphy from the wall in the bedroom and a convertible sofa on the living room side of suite (we heard on newer ships sofa bed changed to murphy as well) We had a double veranda and pocket doors to separate the two suite rooms. The room was convenient to both mid ship and forward elevators. We enjoyed the concierge lounge buffets, cocktail parties, snacks and coffee machine and special parties.

The food on the ship was fab. We did the Palo brunch our day at sea and loved it. The shows were excellent! In the evening when mom turned in early my sis and I enjoyed the clubs. Besides our veranda we had a private sun deck at the concierge lounge.

Doing Disney for Adults we could have the quite areas aboard ship and on Castaway Cay adult only beach and turn a corner and join the magic of the family areas. We took it all in, doing all the photo shoots, visits with characters and dancing with Pluto just to mention a few. Well worth it.

Cabin Review

Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah

Cabin 00T

Beautiful cabin, very spacious, good for three family adults traveling together. Separate temperature controls between pocket door rooms. Was warned of above deck noise in other reviews but only noticed on last evening. Sounded like dragging deck chairs and cleaning, but short lived. Pocket door magnets did not hold when coming into port early am on last morning but door stops were provided by room host. Fridge stocked with our favorites and snacks delivered to room. Could have full meals in room but enjoyed the restaurant rotation only Disney does. On port side so in Castaway Cay had ocean view not island. Quite veranda.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Didn't do the park, just booked a night to rest up from traveling before starting cruise at a resort the Grand Floridian since we had never stayed there using a discount coupon from Disney. Enjoyed the hotel pool, beach, views of electric barge show, monorail ride to dinner plans and of course Disney cruise line transportation service to Port Canaveral

Castaway Cay

My sister, a high school ecology teacher, was in her element at the Stingray Adventure. Booked the early morning adventure, less crowds, got to feed and touch over 20 times and had about 30 minutes to snorkel swim with the rays. Water a little cool, but once in OK. Exceptional!

Nassau

Took a taxi to Atlantis to gamble, not does not compare to their TV commercials. It required a separate ticket to get into aquarium and other hotel areas were closed unless you were a guest. Talked to others on ship that took the tour and they were also disappointed. Hint for taxi, after going through customs entry walk through fenced off courtyard to street entry, ignore all who try to get you to take their taxi go to street entry and a state tourism official will guide you to a state approved taxi with fixed rates. $4.00 a person one way.

another Hint, unless you are a real beach person who likes to be bothered by walking vendors on the beach, stay on the ship. We enjoyed the Disney ship and its offerens more than the beach on this island.
