My wife and I are frequent Celebrity cruisers (14 cruises), but we had never taken a cruise less than 7 days. We were looking for something to do over Easter weekend and decided to do a short cruise and try Celebrities new Suite experience. While we have booked suites in the past this was our first with the new program. The suite only dining room ( Luminae) was intimate with outstanding food and service. FAR superior to the main dining room. Michaels Club ( suite only lounge) serves as the hub for suite occupant services. The club's concierge couldn't be more helpful in arranging shore excursions, dinner reservations ( or reservations or any kind for that matter), special events or requests, billing matters, baby sitting, etc, etc... Ours was delightful and could always be counted on to followup on things. If something was not right she would make it right. We had her arrange private sedan transport to the airport after our cruise.

The lounge is also a place to grab a drink in a nice quiet environment with very attentive and friendly service. My wife and I would have a cocktail there each evening before dinner and grab our favorite table by the floor to ceiling window that overlooked the water. Other benefits include early embarkation and disembarkation that was truly smooth. Butler service for your room is also included... Both the concierge and butler gave you phone numbers to reach them any time during the cruise. I can't emphasize how comfortable they made you feel to ask questions or make a request. Suite guests also have reserved seating for the shows. The butlers reserve a section of the theater on the top level and seat suite guest in that section up to approximatley 10 min before the show ( then the remaining seating in that section is open to anyone). For us the suite experience was something we will make a habit of when cruising on Celebrity.

One other thing to note: Port Everglades has global entry for going through customs. Unlike airports however you must have your global entry ID with you in order to take advantage of the program and avoid long lines.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 2

Cabin S2

The cabin was spacious and had a larger balcony than normal Sky Suites because of its location. The room comes with Butler service. He gave us a number to reach him at anytime if we needed something. He served us breakfast on the balcony every morning, brought ice for our champagne, served tea in the afternoon, etc. It was really a nice and useful service and you didn't have to go looking for someone or decide who to ask when you needed something. Plenty of storage and closet space when compared to normal staterooms. Couple of things to point out. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo that requires you to step up into the shower. While it wasn't a problem for us, if you have some mobility issues it might. The other oddity was that one wall was completely mirrored. I know it is there to make the room feel bigger but it only served to remind me that I was getting bigger from the great food and drink on the ship.
