Having read all of the reviews of Viking Star and knowing the stellar reputation that Viking has for their river cruises, we came aboard Viking Sea expecting to be wowed. And I can unreservedly say that after our trip from Venice to Istanbul, Viking exceeded all of our expectations. The combination of fantastic ports of call with modern, elegant surroundings, top class service and five-star cuisine in a relaxed, friendly environment provided us with a true trip of a lifetime.

Embarkation

This was as smooth as I have ever experienced on any of my 10+ previous cruises. In fact, Viking staff were courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable, in every part of the ship, throughout our entire voyage; no one ever hesitated to help in any way that they could think of – we were truly pampered, every day, by these consummate professionals. After some quick paperwork and a picture, we were through the line and on board with a glass of champagne in our hands before we knew it. Our stateroom was ready and waiting for us, and our bags arrived extremely quickly.

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse Veranda

Absolutely beautiful - roomy and gorgeous. Good sized balcony, and didn't notice any noises at all. Bathroom is large, with a heated floor and glass shower.
