We chose Viking because we wanted to see Europe. We decided on the Grand European Tour. We loved the fact we could see several cities/countries and stay in one room and not have to pack up every time. We can't sing enough praises about Viking. The whole trip went smoothly from beginning (booking the trip) to end. The staff was friendly, attentive to our needs & knowledgeable about the different destinations. There was a diverse crew from our captain, deck hands, wait staff, maids, bartenders, director, etc. We got to know the nationalities of each one and enjoyed our conversations with them. We also met some fellow cruise mates that we stay in contact with to this day.

Ah - the food. It was very delicious and presented in a pleasing manner. My favorite was the breakfast. Oof- da! This is one trip you will not go hungry on. We were thankful we had our off shore excursions to get in our exercise. We were never rushed on excursions and we were given plenty of options on what to do and see.

The cabins were cleaned twice a day. The maids did a very thorough job and would leave surprises on occasion. Each night we would gather to discuss the next days adventures. When we turned in for the evening there was a news letter of the next days excursions with some facts regarding the region.

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the mood lighting. Chick-a Chick-a bow wow.

Port Reviews

Amsterdam

We arrived and Amsterdam and were picked up at the airport. We checked in at the ship and strolled along the city. Retired early due to jet lag.
