'Newbies' for river cruises and Viking - great experience from beginning to end. Two nights in Lisbon at the Tivoli Hotel was enough to savour the 'best of' (especially with a three hour Segway tour!). The trip to Belem Tower introduced us to the nautical heritage that Lisbon has developed over the centuries

Seven nights on the river immersing ourselves into the local culture, port, flavours, more port and 'best of' Portugal was fabulous complemented by great, friendly service. The dress code was more informal than we had expected despite reading all the brochure material - anyway, when we join the China trip in 2016 and Russia in 2017 we will dress accordingly!

The 'added value' for Viking are the inclusive daily excursions which were really interesting, quirky (Head Chef walking us through and explaining the fish market), yummy (tasting fresh bread straight from the oven in a local bakery) with great coach transfers, all with extra leg room.
