This was our first cruise and we wanted a relatively short and close to home one in case we didn't like it. How foolish we were! It was remarkable. Not only were the other passengers most interesting, but the crew were a delight and most important, efficient and helpful. The food was varied and very good, with two places to eat which had slightly different menu styles.

I had forgotten how beautiful Paris is and the tours we had showed this beauty off to the full. All our destinations on the cruise were chosen carefully and the transit and guides could not be faulted. I particularly wanted to visit Monet's home and garden and I was not disappointed. Even with the number of other visitors there it was not too bad.

We will definitely take another river cruise and possibly one at sea sometime. This was an excellent introduction to get us the holiday path to cruising. Thank you Viking.
