I am giving this cruise a two star rating for two main reasons. One the food on board was bad. Normally when I cruise after having a meal in the main dining room I end the meal thinking wow, that was a great meal, I can't wait to see what they have tomorrow night. But on this cruise the food in the dining room was dry, boring and bland. I heard a lot of people complaining about the quality of the food. If you wanted a better cut of steak or lobster you had to pay $20 but even then people were saying it wasn't worth the money. The food in the buffet wasn't much better. The eggs were so soggy you could practically ring them out and the fruit was under-ripe and hard. So the food on board was a big zero!

The second reason I am rating this cruise a 2 star is the on board entertainment. We had 5 sea days so you would think they had some good activities planned but mostly it was trivia. All day, trivia games. Other then that there wasn't that much else to do. Every once in a while they threw something else in but there really wasn't much to do especially compared to other cruises we have taken. I felt like they put no thought into their on board activities for their guests for those long sea days. It was like the only thing they could come up with is more trivia games. We did this cruise with NCL and had a blast. I would definitely not do this cruise again with Carnival.

Just went to the beach.

Maui

We hired a driver to take us around the island and show us some sights. We had a good time and it was very reasonably priced.
