My wife, & I chose this cruise basically for the Christmas Markets in Germany. We have been to many of the port cities before; and we like traveling in Europe. Embarkation, & Disembarkation are extremely smooth. The ship was emaculate, and comfortable. The cabins, with the balconies were perfect, and extremely comfortable. The food was was very good, and well presented. The local entertainment, and activities were more than interesting, and entertaining. The service was 5-star in all areas. The ports, & shore excursions are very educational, & interesting. We have taken two Viking Cruises. Would we take another? We leave in two days on board the NEW Viking Sea Ocean ship, for a 15-day cruise. You could say that we like the Viking River Cruises.... I have suggested Viking River Cruises to my friends, and five couples have already taken my suggestions, and, on trips that we have yet to experience. See you in St. Petersburg!!!

What's to say....a home away from home. With fantastic amenities.

Port Reviews

Nuremberg

We have been to Nuremberg twice now with Viking. We enjoy the history of the city.

Wurzburg

I was in Wurzburg in 1966, when all of the city was inclosed within the walls. Another enjoyable German city.

Heidelberg

Most enjoyable.
