This was our third river cruise with Viking, and we have never been disappointed.

We began with a two-day pre cruise stay in Amsterdam in a lovely, reasonable b&b (Clemens Hotel) near the Anne Frank House. The extra days allowed us to really explore the city and delight in its gardens, museums and just being there. We were there in early Spring and the weather was wonderful, and flowers were in bloom.

On the day of departure, we easily made our way to the ship using public transportation and a short walk to the dock. Our cabin was ready, so we stowed our luggage and went back into the city for more sightseeing. The Alsvin cabins are spacious and well appointed. When open, our French balcony let in river breezes and gave us an unparalleled view of the scenery slipping by.
