The Grand European River Cruise was not a disappointment. It was our first river cruise and we appreciated seeing so many cities and historical sites in one trip, The smaller ship with fewer passengers gave everyone a chaqnce to get to know each other.

We chose to have a French balcony room and were so glad we did. We would not have used the veranda with the weather in October and had better views from our room.

The Magni and its staff were excellent. We were warmly welcomed and felt at home after the first day. While it was a disappointment to not have as much time in Budapest as planned and to have to change ships (to the Baldour) halfway through the cruise, Viking made a great effort to compensate for the inconvenience.
