We have been on a Viking River Cruise before. The experience then was excellent. We have reviewed other firms advertisements but have seen nothing that has convinced us to switch away from Viking.
This cruise, Tulips and Windmills, was the first cruise of the season this year for this itinerary. Unfortunately this year, this was a week too early for the tulip fields to be in bloom and the weather had just turned to spring. This is just luck of the draw. The shore excursions, both included and optional were all excellent. Staff on-board the ship were professional, competent and most helpful and friendly throughout.
The food was consistently delicious and varied from day to day so as never getting boring. With the selections available, there was always several choices that I enjoyed if the main dish was something that I did not want.
Excellent room, but little cramped. Effectively, the only place to sit was on the bed. The stool was not really meant for sitting for more than using the mirror.
Would not have been issue if weather was warmer as would be on deck but this trip, this was not to be until the last couple of days.
