We started our cruise with a 2 day stay in Amsterdam which was good as we had plane departure problems at JFK and then missed a connecting flight at Heathrow and arrived in Amsterdam later than planned. We stayed at a great hotel that was located in the center of the city making it easy to get around.

Once on the ship Alsvin we found our room delightful. As with most cruise ships quarters are tight we did have enough room and it was set up with twin beds. Dinning was a pleasure sitting with different people every meal. Met so many interesting and we'll traveled people.

The pre-planned tours were excellent yet we had much time to explore the different cities on our own. The quiet boxes we wore for the tours were great as we could always hear our very knowledgeable tour guide. My friend and I will definitely take another river cruise in the future.
