We had taken a VRC before and were impressed with the organization. From the booking process to being dropped off at the airport at the end of the cruise there was nothing that wasn't done in an exemplary manner. I am sure someone, somewhere in the Viking organization is working on ensuring it only rains after 10 p.m. (a la Camelot). We had a cabin with a balcony on our first cruise. On that cruise we spent so little time in the cabin that we opt for the waterline cabin for the wine and chateau cruise. We also selected the three day Loire Valley tour prior to boarding the Forseti in Bordeaux. It was as advertised, top shelf across the board. Our guide Prunella was knowledgable, personable and fun. Our driver Chou Chou (spelling) managed to get a 12 foot wide bus thru 11 foot wide streets. I don't know how he did it but he did.

The ship was crewed by folks that were obviously very proud of their ship. That goes from the Captain down to the cabin cleaners and deck gang. She is very clean and the staff eager to ensure the passengers were safe and happy. The food was superb. The constant comment was that we could not remember a bad meal. Again, the food staff went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. Hell, the food preparation was so good I was even eating asparagus, and I hate asparagus.

We will sail again with Viking. Until then, be safe shipmates.

Deluxe Stateroom

Cabin F

The cabin was clean and comfortable. The cabin cleaner did a great job. I would recommend hand rails for the shower or anti-skid on the deck in the shower stall.
