Let me begin by saying that I've never written a review on a cruise until now even though we've taken many wonderful cruises over the years all over the world. We decided to try a river cruise for the first time and after reading many reviews settled on AmaWaterway and the ship AmaCerto for a Rhine river cruise.

First the positives: The ship is nice and the rooms were good with a good layout and nice balcony. The crew was very nice and did their best to accommodate the passengers to the degree the company would allow.

Now the rest of the review: if you enjoy a lot of amenities and good food with many choices this is not the cruise for you. You have one dining room that serves average food at best. ( not sure where people who say this is high cuisine have eaten before) but this is not anything close to what you will get on cruises like Oceana or Crystal, etc. they have one lounge area crowded with chairs and occasionally put out snacks but take them up quickly after a short while.
