This was our second Regent cruise and it did not disappoint. Was it perfect, no, but very minor complaints. The pre-cruise hotel (included at concierge level and above) the Melia Sarria was OK, nothing special, but the location was good and everything was well organized. Embarkation was a breeze - probably took a grand total of 10 minutes and we were on board with a glass of champagne in hand.

There was a very large group on board (200 people from the Cheesecake Factory on an incentive trip). The only complaints we had surrounded this group (not the people themselves, just the dynamics and challenges of a large group on-board). The first two nights, the service in Compass Rose and Sette Mari was really bad. The staff was trying really hard, but it was apparent they were stretched too thin with the large group (we found out later that there were group dinners those nights for the "Cheesecakers").

Also, one night the Horizons lounge was closed to everyone who wasn't "Cheesecake". Disappointing since that is the best bar to be in as you sail away from port. But... First World problems people! The rest of the cruise was fantastic. After the first two nights, the service in all of the restaurants was impeccable.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Suite

Cabin G

Wonderful - great size, comfortable bed. Balcony is a good size with comfortable furniture. Bathroom is large (hello - double sinks!).

Port Reviews

Valencia

We took the Requena Caves and Wine Tasting excursion - really enjoyed! Requena is very quaint - tour of the caves was good. Wine tasting at Pago de Tharsys was great - excellent Cava! Included lunch was fantastic - very generous with the wine!

Lisbon

One of our favorite ports! Beautiful city and very easy to explore on your own. Take a tuk tuk ride.

Barcelona

Barcelona is a beautiful city. Do not miss the Sagrada Familia. Book tickets online and go early.
